March News
Happy March!
Spring is right around the corner, even though it’s still cold and wet outside. The studio is nice and warm, so if you need a little heat, you know where to go. We’ve got you!
This month, we’re really excited to bring prenatal yoga to our studio. Along with kids yoga, prenatal yoga confers the amazing benefits of yoga to a whole new population of practitioners.
Yuko and Ginger will host a special Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath event to celebrate the Spring Equinox; Happy Hour will take place at the Uptown Espresso; and, the Intro Series is returning in early April.
Read on for more details.

We’ve all witnessed that one flower; the one that had sprung -- seemingly out of nowhere -- from a crevice or rock in search of the sun. It’s a familiar metaphor for blooming and surviving harsh conditions. Unlike inspirational quotes about strength and courage that are often attached to an image like this, the flower’s journey has less to do with bravery and more with the right soil conditions. It also exploits every little crack and space within its environment to spread its roots and wend its way toward the light.
When all the conditions are met, it rises, blooms and thrives. No amount of courage and strength matters to a seed without soil, water, nutrients and space to grow.
Humans are not flowers, but we are summoned to rise toward the sun of our individual calling. The conditions make or break this journey, whether the environment is inhospitable or welcoming.
As you navigate your way through this world, we hope yoga serves as your water, nutrient and space to help you follow the light through life’s cracks, so that you can rise.
Thank you for reading all the way through!
May yoga light up your path always,
