Example Retreat 1

Birthday Yoga and Sound Bath

On Saturday from 2-4 PM, Alisa and a close-knit group of 6 friends gather at Magnolia Yoga and Healing Arts studio. The session begins with pranayama, where the group engages in deep breathing exercises to cultivate a sense of inner calm. This is followed by a half-hour of warmups and a flowing sequence to get the energy moving.

As the next part of the celebration, a candle is lit to symbolize the past year of Alisa's life. They are led on a short meditation accompanied by a soothing sound bath, during which they reflect on everything they appreciate about Alisa. Subsequently, another candle is lit to represent the upcoming year of her life. During this meditation, everyone is encouraged to envision their own heartfelt desires while Alisa envisions her own aspirations for the next year. After the meditation, Alisa is invited to blow out the candles with focused breath, sending her intentions out to the ether.

Moving forward, they delve into a series of accessible Hatha yoga asanas, allowing everyone to further experience the benefits of the physical practice. The session culminates in a long savasana accompanied by a full sound bath that promotes deep relaxation and rejuvenation. Everyone is gently revived from savasana with a spritz of essential oil.

To conclude the beautiful gathering, Alisa and her friends form a circle to share and reflect on their experiences, intentions, and appreciations. Alisa had made dinner reservations at Chinook's, where the festivities would continue outside the studio.

Restorative Yoga with Sound Bath for a cousins reunion

Maria and her four cousins are no strangers to adventure. With busy lives and different pursuits, they only have the chance to meet up every few years. However, this year, after completing an exhausting weekend of backpacking, they decided it was time to unwind and reconnect with each other. They reached out to Magnolia Yoga and Healing Arts for an event that would help them relax and rejuvenate.

Thus, on a Tuesday afternoon at 3:00, the five cousins gathered at the studio. After a short warmup session, our experienced instructors guided them through a series of restorative poses, specifically chosen to calm the nervous system and revitalize the body, mind, and spirit. The soothing and healing vibrations of crystal bowls filled the air, imbuing the space with tranquility. As their bodies began to relax, the cousins surrendered to stillness, and cherished each other’s presence in the harmonious energy that enveloped them. Afterwards, they took a leisurely stroll through Discovery Park before winding down on Maria’s deck with a bottle of wine.

Bachelorette Yoga Party with Hands On Craniosacral mini-treatments

Desiree wanted something a little different for the beginning of her bachelorette party. She booked our studio for a Saturday afternoon Healing Bachelorette Gathering—a carefully crafted afternoon of blissful indulgence, tailored to nourish both body and soul.

We begin the gathering with a gentle and accessible yoga practice, perfect for beginners. designed to awaken and invigorate the body. This is followed by a brief intention-setting meditation.
Next tea and cookies are served, allowing everyone to mingle and soak in the positive energy of the space. During this relaxed social time, guests have the chance to explore their intentions further by working with oracle cards—delving into the wisdom and symbolism of the cards, gaining insights, and sparking meaningful conversations.

The indulgence continues as our studio Craniosacral Therapist provides 5 minute relaxation sessions to each guest in our private and tranquil treatment corner.

To conclude the gathering, we come together for a final savasana accompanied by a soothing sound bath. The deeply resonant vibrations promote relaxation and restore a sense of balance to the body, mind, and spirit.

While the other guests prepare for the bride's arrival at the next venue, the bride herself has the opportunity to indulge in a natural and holistic full facial treatment, specially designed to leave her feeling utterly pampered and glowing on her special day.

“Girls Night” centering pre-party with Yoga Nidra

Anjali was planning her monthly “girls night” with her co-workers and wanted a chance to get centered and relaxed before their Saturday night out on the town. She scheduled a late afternoon yoga event with the studio, to include yoga nidra and sound bath.

The afternoon starts with a gentle yoga session focused on stretching out. They are then invited to recline in comfortable positions, surrounded by an array of props, blankets, and bolsters. The soothing sounds of crystal bowls and vocalizations resonate throughout the space, creating an atmosphere of tranquility.

During the sound bath, our skilled teacher guides everyone through a yoga nidra practice, a guided savasana meditation.
